Given are two maps illustrating the differences in Dalton town in 1815 and 2015
Overall, the Dalton town experienced many spectacular developments toward industrialization and witnessed fewer natural features.
As can be seen from the maps, a small river divided the maps into two parts. Concerning the left side of the river, most parts of Dalton Forest were knocked down in order to construct more public infrastructure such as a hospital, residential building and factories. A road was built on Bridleway path and a bridge was erected to connect the road to the other side of the river. There was a new road constructed from hospital and connected to the other road so that people could travel around. Lastly, there were two new factories beside River Dal and another one to the north of it, creating an industrial zone.
Regarding the other side of the river, after two centuries, most trees were cut down to build roads and houses for residents. Moreover, hall farm was destroyed to build houses and a school for education, and a road system was established to connect all the buildings. Also, to the east of the school was a new hotel for visitors to stay and beside the Dal river was a new airport.
