The maps compare the appearance of Destin Island in 1986 with its current look.
Overall, a comparison of two maps reveals that the park has seen radical changes over the given time frame, with the area being more residential, new facilities being introduced and the existing ones being upgraded.
In 1986, the area was divided into three sectors by two roads which one of them has been from south-west to north-east of the island and the second one was from the middle of the first road to the east of the island and there used to be a lot of woodland on both sides of the former street. The latter avenue has stretched to the west and a sculpture has been made at the crossroads. The Forest Area A on the above side of the new road has been chopped down to make way for a school and single dwellings with garden trees. The Forest Area B on the right-hand side of the avenue of trees remained untouched. The numbers of residential houses and restaurants opposite the forest have significantly risen and a car park has been erected. When it comes to the bottom left part of the map, the changes are even more dramatic. The most notable change is the construction of places of entertainment, including a cultural centre, cinema, shopping mall and fitness centre, and also a bus station. This all has been at the expense of removing shops and trees.
