The two maps illustrate condition of Destin Island in 1986 and condition of Destin Island now.
Overall, it is demonstrated by the maps that area has undergone construction and has become more developed. Deforestation took place as residential homes are build. Island consist of various amenities as well.
In year 1986, to the North West of the island was forest area a, which was later on replaced by residential homes. Whereas, to the South West of the Island shops were undergone construction and several amenities were added to the area e.g. shopping mall and bus station etc. A road was build between the residential homes and amenities.
Whereas, forest area B remain same since 1986. To the South East of the island a petrol pump was added followed by the addition of several homes as well. The South East area consist of large number of houses as in contrast to 1986. Two restraunts were replaced by four increasing there quantity. Somehow, roads to the East of the Island remain same.
From 1986 till now area has become quite developed carrying alot of facilities and additional residential areas.
