The charts illustrate total share of electricity usage by food, fishery, manufacturing, household, and service, in 1995 and 2005.
Overall, the largest share of consumption was recorded in manufacturing industry. Service was responsible for the least proportion of usage; however, replaced by fishery at the end of the period.
In 1995, the most significant share of electricity was accounted in manufacturing industry with 33%, followed by food, which made up 24% of the total, and the share for fishery was just slightly below food’s, at 20%. Remaining two, namely, household and service formed 15% and 8% of total usage, respectively.
In 2005, the percentage of consumption in manufacturing decreased by 2%, made up 31%. Fishery and food experienced gradual fall which comprised 13% and 21%, respectively. In contrast, the total percentage of electricity usage in household and service industries received significant rise, by 5% and 7%, which made up 20% and 15%, respectively.
