The pie charts illustrates how the percentage of household energy consumption changed in Australia between 1995 and 2015.
Overall, it is evident that using of energy for heating and water heating decreased while it was quite opposite for proportions of energy for other appliances and refrigeration because they increased from 1995 to 2015. Unlike these energy consumption, using of energy for lighting remained stable.
As seen in the graph, the highest proportion of energy was allocated to heating in 1995 ,and after 20 years majority of energy was devoted into heating, albeit with a 10% difference which was higher in 1995 than in 2015 in London. As for the using energy for water heating, it was the second priority of people in 2015 and accounted for 30 % whereas this number declined by 5%. In spite of decline, this was the second priority in 2015.
In stark contrast, in 2015 consuming energy for other appliances was twice as high as that in 1995 and comprising a quarter of bar chart in 2015 in London. Individuals allocated 10% of energy to refrigeration, after 5 years this number rose by 5% and constituted 15%. The lighting was the one which remained stable in terms of energy consumption within 20 years.
