Overall, there were the majority of females who were employed or self-employed in clerical-related job whereas that of males in managerial and professional.
Looking at women and occupation, around one-third if women worked in clerical-related job (31%). The proportion of females’ employment in managerial,professional and other manual accounted for under one- third of the total (29% and27%) respectively. However, there were 9% of females who were empolyees and self-employed in other non-manual.The other fields such as general labourers and work-related-to-crafts were the least popular with females, made up the minority of the total (1% and 3%).
Regarding males and job, the majority of men worked in managerial and professional (36%). The percentage of those working in crafts-related job and other manual represent nearly one-fourth of the total (24% and 26%) respectively. By contrast, the tiny minority of men were employed in general labourers, clerical or related and other non- manual (2% and 6%).
