It is clear that, most of the individuals in both countries are either married or separated but not divorced. However, divorced people are in the minority in both cases.
We can see that, more than half of the Canadian population are separated but not divorce, while 41% of Australian individuals are in the same state. Married people in Australia hold the lion’s share with 46% of the population, compared to only 29% in Canada. However, Divorcing is considerably unpopular in both countries, with a mere 1% in Canada and 2% in Australia are in a divorced state.
Other marital states like widowed and never married hold a small portion in the population, with 7% each in Canada, with a slight difference of 1% higher than Australia. Interestingly, 3% of Canadian population are involved in a homo sex marriage, while no Australian individuals are engaged in a such relation.
