The two maps below illustrate how the City Library mondernised in the years 2004 and 2014.
It is clear that the City Library changed considerably over the period, particularly on the general collection, which was added a new buiding. Whereas, there were a combined in art garllery and reference room.
There was significant varied at the middle of the library in two years. A academic journals in a corner of the map was combined with a reference room at the previous place while the outdoor performance area was constructed in a blank area and next to it. In contrast, the main entracne and the reception desk were remain unchanged.
The relocation and modernisation of some facilities also were a witnessed on the south and the north of the map. The general collection in 2014 was more extended than before, with the apperance of movies and computer games to the north of the system. In the other side, art gallery was also linked with gift store and moved to the centre of the right side of the library.
