A significant rise was observed in Germany, showing an increase from 27 to 62 students over the two years, while the figure for Sweden underwent a smaller growth of 8 from 34 during the period. In addition, the UK experienced a minimal decrease from 31 to 26 students from 2007 to 2009.
In terms of Australian students moving to universities in Europe, universities in France were the most popular places , which attracted the most students from Australia between 2007 and 2009, making a growth from 37 to 58 students. Similarly, the figure for students from Australia who enrolled in exchange programs in Germany increased considerably, showing an increase from 18 to 26 students. Although Sweden, the UK, and the Netherlands’ universities had a visible decrease from 33, 32, 32 to 27, 23, and 18 students over the given period, respectively.
