The two tables illustrate the number of households using three different types of internet connection, and the average hours spent online on each connection type per week from 2015 to 2025 in country B.
Overall, both tables show that the majority of households use fiber optic as their internet provider. Followed closely by cable, with a slightly lower percentage but still had high average of usage hours. In contrast, dial-up was the connection type least used by housings and had little time spent on it.
In 2015, fiber optic started with a low demand of 25%, but it later on sky-rocketed to 55% by the end of the period. While cable had fairly large household propotions in the beginning with 40%, the rate lowered down to 30% at the end of 2025. Dial-up had the lowest number of housings interested in it with a 20% start and later plummeted to 5% at the end.
Fiber optic and cable were tied for first and second place in average hour spent online in a week, combined years from 2015 to 2025 at 45 hours in total. On other hand, dial-up proved to have the least weekly usage at 14 hours altogether over the years.
