In 1840, Asia was the number one producer with nearly covering 50% of the world’s production, followed by Europe with approximately 40% while other countries cover only 10%. After 1880, Asia’s production fell dramatically from nearly 50% to 25% until 2000. While Asia’s production is falling Europe’s and other nations’ production rates have increased dramatically to approximately 38%.
In 2000, Asia’s production rate increased rapidly and became 45% with this Asia became the number one producer in the whole world while production of Europe and other nations stayed pretty much the same with nearly 30%.
