The bar chart illustrates proportion of Gross Domestic Pruduct from Information Technology and Service Industry of the United Kingdom since 1993 to 2000. IT denoted by light blue and Service Industry by dark purple.

Overall, each year IT Industry had more impact on the country’s economy than Service Industry. Moreover, the percentage had been increased every year except 1996.

Firstly, the biggest gap between IT and Service Industry was in 2000 (about 42%), 15% and 8% respectively.

Secondly, in 1992 both industries had the lowest percent in GDP (10% in total). While in 2000 more than 23% this means, that over the eight years period the percentage increased by more than 2 times. However, in 1994 IT Industry had the slight drop – less than 2%, while Service Industry increased by 2%

In conclusion, these two industries had been increased since 1992 to 2000, and began to occupy 20% of UK’s GDP.
