This table illustrates the number of people making a journey and the money they pay for one ticket with the distance travelled in six underground systems of different cities.
The New York City Subway has the highest channels as well as the longest distance with 24 and 659 respectively. Additionally, every year, 1.65 billion individuals are using this type of system and pay 2.5$ per a ticket. Even though, in London Tube, there are only 11 lines and covers only 249miles, the cost of transportation for one individual is expensive, with 7.3usd and as the result, a smaller number of populations goes through there.
Both Tokyo subway and Paris Metro have almost the same ways, by 13 and 12 respectively whereas the first one has more passengers with 3.1 billion and 1.5 billion for the second despite of having high cost of entry by 2.3$.
Beijing Subway runs the ultimate journeys, with 3.6 billion of travelers and money is not too much, it is only 0.45usd. At the last, we have the Mexico City Metro. It has the advantage of entry ticket which is the lowest among all of them by 0.23$ and it has only 12 lines with 140 miles.
