These three pie charts show the proportions of Korean video games in terms of gender, age, and best-selling games in 2003. For age, the largest number of people are aged 18 to 35 years old, 42%. For gender, there are 72% male players. For best-selling electric games, the highest proportion is found in action.
There are two reasons why young Korean people like the games. First, Korean people usually easy to feel stress from studying and working as well. So they commonly play action games in a game center called a PC room. Second, the PC room is quite comfortable to stay. We can get food and drink, and sleep anytime. Actually, I am Korean. I often played games in a PC room before with my friends. And I found many male young Korean played action games.
In conclusion, young Korean people, mostly male often play action games because they want to be stressed out, and be in a comfortable place.
