The two maps illustrate how an island has changed prior to and subsequent to the construction program of some tourist infrastructure.
Overall, the island has been modernized with numerous amenities which are connected by roads. This makes the island become a modern and suitable destination for tourism.
When the island was not refurbished, it only had several palm trees standing in groups on the east side and on the west side. In the far west, there was a beach which was not used for tourist purpose.
On the contrary, following the building of a number tourist amenities, the island witnessed a significant modernization. On the far southern coast, a pier has been built to make the island easily accessible by boats while in the far north stands a restaurant for tourists and employees. In the middle of them is a reception block, which is also located right in the center of the island. To the east and west of the reception building, the groups of palm trees have been demolished to give room for groups of accommodation cottages. Those in the east have been scattered along the eastern coast whereas they have been repositioned slightly on the opposite side. On the far western coast, the beach has now been renovated with swimming facilites, which make it appropriate for tourism. All of the amenities are connected by footpaths and vehicle tracks.
