The two maps illustrate the main changes which have taken place in the town of Denham since 1986 till now.
As is apparent, the town has faced to the removal of agriculture and farming and an increase in housing development, which led to a higher population.
Turning into the details, there has been a significant redevelopment over the whole period. Housing now dominates the area to the East of the river Stroke, where was farmland and shops. The remain is the post office, which reserves its location and construction, as it was in 1986. The bridge over the river haven’t change its position that it had in 1986.
Another noticeable change is that there have been gardens as well as large houses, which were replaced by a retirement home and more houses. The primary school has been extended, however, it stays on its location. Additionally, instead of farming to the north of school now more houses there have constructed. However the fence running along the river in 1986 is no longer there.
