Denham town has significantly changed over the past 40 years, which is showcased in the set of illustration given above.
Overall, the poultry farmland is replaced with residential area occupied by the new settlers, therefore increasing the population of the town. This change has opened new commuter options to access post office, primary school and other public areas. However, the bridge and the post office remain to be stationary and in their original position.
First of all the 1986 map displays the town as a natural sanctuary where people and animal co-exist together happily. The Greenland seems to be spread across the town with various shops and post offices located strategically closer to the river. The garden and the primary school are however on the other side of the town. As well as a large house can be spotted in the garden area.
Secondly, the present time map indicates new residential area being developed as immigrants tend to migrate over time to the town. Enlarged population lead to new roads being developed along with primary school’s development to accommodate the residents. The garden and the large house is now turned into a retirement home for senior citizens.
