The given maps illustrate the transformations in Denham from 1986 to present.
Overall, the town has undergone major redevelopments, with the addition of new roads, residential areas and the removal of some public and green zones.
In 1986, there was a River Stroke that flowed through the entire town. Additionally, a bridge that connected two sides of the road situated in the north. By two sides of the road there used to be farmlands and some houses. The centre of the town was occupied by a post office, shops and a primary school. In the south-east, a large house was located, surrounded by gardens.
Today, the city has been significantly changed. Firstly, the River Stroke and the bridge remain the same, while there has been a road conversion into three parts. In the north and the south, all parts of the road have been surrounded by residential territories. In contrast, houses situated instead of farmlands. On the right side of the road the primary school has not changed, whereas on the left, shops have been demolished and only the post office remains. Finally there has been the reduction of green zones, and a retirement home replaced the large house.
