The given maps provide the information of how the Islip town centre looks like currently and its future development. Overall, the centre of the town will be enlarged in size together with new housing and facilities that will be constructed.
First of the all, the city will be expanded by taking the current countryside area and there will be a new dual carriageway around the centre, connecting all the facilities which allow the residents to travel to other places more convenient.
On the other hand, the number of accommodations will be increased in the future as they planned to introduce two more housing in the different locations. There will be the new living area located next to the current park, whereas the park will be smaller in the future. Another one will be added above the current main road, just on the east of the shops. Furthermore, there will more amenities introduced in the centre, namely a bus station as well as a car park. Additionally, the shops which is currently above the main road will be transformed to a bigger shopping centre in the future. Last but not least, the current main road will be changed to pedestrians only to avoid the heavy traffic in the city and will be beneficial for people who love to exercise.
In conclusion, the Islip centre will become bigger together with more residential areas and more facilities. The city will be much better in the future.
