The given map details Porth Harbour in the past and alterations made in the present day. From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the harbour has become significantly more accessible compared to 2000.
Several areas have remain unchanged overtime, including the car parks and the showers and toilets located in the north-western part of the harbour. However, one more showers and toilets has been constructed between the two car parks today. In 2000, there was only one dock on north- eastern side of harbour, just below a public beach extended further north. While the beach remained the same, but a second dock has been added adjacent to the original one to accommodate the passengers ferries.
In the southwestern area, the marina for private yachts has now been relocated further south replacing the former fishing boats. Furthermore, the eastern section has seen notable development, the existing lifeboat and private beach are now accompanied by cafes and shops and a smaller road leading to a new hotel to the furthest eastern point.
