I am writing to sincerely apologize for my absence during the group presentation at work yesterday. As you may recall, I have not missed any meetings since I joined the organization. Therefore, I kindly ask for your forgiveness regarding this incident. I have worked diligently from the time I joined until now; however, due to personal hardship, I was unable to attend the meeting.
Additionally, I have been suffering from a common cold for the past week and consulted a doctor. He advised me to take it easy and rest for at least a week. I hope to be able to rejoin the team by next week.

Since I missed the group project, I would like the opportunity to present the topic on my own, or if there are any additional procedures I should follow, please let me know in advance so I can prepare adequately and contribute positively to our organization.
