Overall, domestic sections recorded the least water usage among nations, except for Canada, while agriculture consumed water significantly in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, New Zealand demonstrated their dominance in water usage for the industrial sector.
Regarding domestic purposes, Canada consumed the highest share of water for this category, at 20%, whereas the figure for New Zealand was relatively lower, at 10%. This was closely followed by the negligent share of water consumed for domestic usage in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, at 8% and 6%, respectively.
Moving on to the industrial sector, Canada exhibited the highest water usage, peaking at 70%. New Zealand and Saudi Arabia also utilized a considerable percentage of water, at 46% and 30% to industry, respectively, compared to only 10% of water allocated industrully in Egypt.
In terms of agricultural sector, the water usage of Canada recorded the highest share compared to other categories, accounting 82%. Saudi Arabia also primarily utilized water for agriculture, with the sector comprising 64% of its total consumption. Although the percentage of water consumed by agriculture practices was 44% in New Zealand, the figure was the least in Canada, just 10%.
