Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the CO2 emission is drastically higher in the air category compared to others. Besides, most of the funds have gone into the creation of roads in the European Union.
With regard to the CO2 emission recorded per person, the categories such as, coaches, maritime, and rails have significantly lower amount, which did not exceed 50 grams. The pasenger cars emit above 100 grams of CO2 per person. Additionally, the buses have a lower amount of emission, which is slightly above 50%. Most of the CO2 emisson, upto 350 grams is solely found in air.
Meanwhile, funds invested in the creation of roads have acquired upto 52%, and the railway has occupied around 31%. The public transport facilities have gotten about 10%. The other transports such as intermodel, inland waterway, ports and airports have taken barely 1%-2% of the funds.
