Overall, Chinese has the most native speaker, as well as the total numbers of speakers. English was the only language with more additional speakers than native ones. The least spoken languages among the six is Arabic.
Chinese dominate the table with 850 million native spakers and 260 million additional speakers, in a total of 1,100 million speakers. The number of native English, Spanish and Italian speakers were similarly, each in the range between 350 million and 370 million. Hindi and Arabic’s native tongues were lower at 216 million and 204 million respectively.
In term of additional speakers, English dominate the table with 620 millions. This was followed by chinese at 260 million and Spanish at 120 million. Other three languages has less than 100 additional speakers.
