The given line graph shows the number of three different spreads that has been devoured between 1981 and 2007, the numbers are represented in grams. Overall, it is noticeable that, the consumptios of the spreads varies over the periods. Butter and Margarine started with high numbers of use in 1981, but decreased sharply in 2007. However, low fat and reduced spreads started later the years in 1996, and rose sharply over the period.
To begin, in 1981, the number of butter spreads used stood over 140. However, over the following year, there was a sharp increase around 160 reaching its peak. Then, the number dropped significantly from 1986 to 2007 below 60 grams that has been used. In contrast, the use of margarine stood below 100 grams in 1981, with a sudden decrease in 1986. The number rose significantly in 1991, and leveld off till 1996. At the end of this period, with rate of consuming margarine spreads dropped dramarically at 40g, in 2007.
In 1996, low fat and reduced spreads stood below 20 grams. However, the numbers of use experienced a marked increase reaching a peak over 80 grams in 2001, but in the following years, the number of low fat spreads fell gradually around 80g, in 2007.
