The illustration depicts the transformation of Marlton Gallery.
Overall, it is clear that remodelling work markedly increased the size of the gallery. It shifted from a 2-floor building with a roof garden to a 3-floor building which featured 7 rooms with a parking lot.
Initially, the first floor consisted of 3 main rooms: giftshop, front desk and special exhibition. However, after renovation, the exhibition was relocated to the second floor so as to make room for parking space. While the front desk was divided into smaller rooms: front desk and coatroom, the giftshop underwent a reduction in its size. Moreover, there were stairs sandwiched between the gift shop and the coat room and this led to the second floor.
It could be seen that the media room was relocated to the third floor, along with the introduction of new space to its left, called education centre. In addition, the gallery witnessed the disappearance of the garden on the top.
