The chart exhibits the regular temperatures and sales of summer suits that New York City had during the period between January and June of 2012.
Overall, during the hottest month of the analyzed period, there were fewer sales, while the highest revenue from selling bathing suits was obtained during April.
According to the graph, the first four months were characterized by an upward trend, both in terms of revenue and of temperature. Between January and March, as the temperatures arose, the earnings from the beginning of the year increased in a half by March, with revenues of 150 hundred thousand dollars. Moreover, in April the profits gained from the swim clothing industry almost doubled, reaching a peak of near 300 hundred thousand dollars.
However, it can be seen from the data, that the numbers dramatically decreased by May, with a revenue of less than a million of dollars. This downward trend continued during the hottest month, June, reaching a low of less than a quarter of million dollars of proceeds.
