The given table represents information about social and economic indicators for four countries in 1994, based on data from the United Nation. There are five columns, where the first one presents the indicators, and others show data about countries such as Canada, Japan, Peru, Zaire. Overall, it can be seen that only one country exceeded the others in most indicators, with Japan showing the most significant figures.
The highest values in annual income and life expectancy at birth was in Japan, at just $15760 and 78%, whereas in both of them the lowest was Zaire, with $130 and 47%. Also, second place was occupied by Canada in both sections, with $11100 and 76%. However, in section of daily calorie supply, Canada had a larger number than Japan, at 3326.
It is interesting to note that in adult literacy rate, Japan and Canada had a similar figure, at just 99%, respectively, while Zaire was approximately to three times less with 34%. Although Canada and Japan showed differences in all sections, when Peru and Zaire had not changes and occupied in third and fourth place in all four indicators.
