In general, the majority of protein intake of people in East Africa, Latin America and North America come from animals, with India as the only exception. As for the calorie intake, North American and India absorbs the most and the least calories, correspondingly.
Regarding protein consumption in four nations, animal proteins account for 62% of the total dietary protein in North America. The statistic of animal uptakes among people in Latin America is 32%, which is doubled that of East Africa. Merely 13% of protein ingested by Indian come from animal, 2% lower when compares to other source of protein. Non-animal protein intake in East Africa share the same figure as the Indian counterpart at 15%. North American and Latin American consume the most and the least other protein at 18% and 13%, accordingly.
As for the calories consumption, dietary energy intake among people in North America lead the top at over 3500 calories, followed by Latin America at around 2800 calories. Caloric intake level in East Africa is approximately 600 calories lower than in Latin America. However, it is higher compared to India, where the average calories intake is merely 2000.
To summarize, people in North America, Latin America and East Africa ingest most protein from animals, while other source of protein make up the larger part in India. North American consum the most calories, while the Indian counterpart have the lowest average calorie intake.
