Overall, proportions of North America demonstrated the highest rate in both categories, while that of India showed the least percent. Furthermore, India and Latin America consumed the least amount of animal protein and other protein, respectively.
In terms of protein intake, North America recorded the highest consumption, totaling 80%, with 62% coming from animal protein and 18% from other sources. Latin America followed with 45% in total, which 32% were animal-based. In East Africa, the intake was noticeably at 31%( 16% animal, 15% non-animal protein). India, had the lowest protein intake at 28% animal 13% and other 15% protein.
