Dear Mr. Williams,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am Mariya C. J., a new tenant at your block 3A apartment. I am writing to inform you that I am unable to move into your rented apartment next week due to an unexpected issue.

Unfortunately, yesterday my mother had an accident; now she is being treated at a hospital near my current residence. As per the doctor’s advice, my mother has to undergo knee-replacement surgery this week.

Therefore, I am unable to move into your rented apartment because I am her only daughter, and this is my responsibility to take care of my mother’s health. Hence, I need to stay with her during her treatment course.

I hope that I can move into my new apartment after two weeks. I would be grateful if you could understand my situation.
