Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to make a request in regard to a qualification I have been studying for.

I recently enrolled in a diploma programme in Accounting and Auditing at the University of Pretoria. Initially, I assumed I would be able to manage studying while working effectively at the company alongside, hence my late request. It appears that this level of multitasking has been draining my mental health, thereby reducing my productivity and concentration at work. Therefore, I would like to request for some time off work till after the qualifying examination which would only take ten working days to complete.

If given this opportunity, I will work extra time to cover up for the lapses that may have occurred in my absence. Additionally, I will volunteer to single handedly cover the organization’s annual report which is due for next month.

Moreover, my interest in this qualification was fueled by the need to be of importance to the organization. There will no longer be a need to invite an external auditor after bagging this certificate, as I will take full responsibility for that going forward. Furthermore, having an in-house accounting and auditing officer would definitely enhance the organization’s overall performance.

I hope my request will be considered.
