Dear Grandmother,
I hope this letter finds you good in health. I am writing to tell you that I am deeply sorry that I couldn’t manage to visit you. I should have seen you sooner, but I have been busy during the past couple weeks.
The reason that I was busy was that I had an important exam last week. The exam was very hard because it was about chemistry which I found it difficult as a subject in my past, so I was forced to study hard to pass that exam. I used to study 10 hours a day, and during that time I hadn’t seen either my parents or my friends.
However, I could manage to get the job done, and I passed the exam successfully with a good grade. Hence, now I am completely free. I am thinking of visiting you as soon as possible and I want to let you know that I will be there this weekend. So, let me know if you are free at the weekend. I am looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Alba
