Dear Sir,

As you might know, I have been working in this company for 2 years now and now I have decided to part ways with this firm and join at a higher position at XYZ construction works. The reason I have decided to move on is that based on my experience and exposure now, I was constantly looking for opportunities for a better role and compensation. Fortunately, the new place is offering me both of them.

Only last friday I received an e-mail about this and came to know that my new firm wants a recommendation letter from you. In that letter, I would like you to mention about my work experience and behaviour in this company. It would be generous of you if you can mention my personal accolades such as attendance award, performer of the year in that letter as it would help me to make a good impression.

At last, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you. It has been a pleasure to work under your guidance. I hope you would be kind enough to fulfil my last request.
