Dear Ahmed,
I’m incredibly sorry not to have been in touch with you recently. Things have been a bit hectic around here; having said that, my big news is that I’m no longer in the food safety sector. Thank goodness!
As I probably mentioned to you last time we met, I was getting sick and tired of working in the restaurant. Getting up every morning to join the rat-race and commuting for long distances really weren’t my cup of tea. Doing those things for a long time had a detrimental effect on my mental and physical health.
So, for the last couple of months I have been looking for something a bit more exciting and eventually I plucked up the courage and apply for a position to work at a pet clinic as a veterinarian. Despite the fact that I had zero experience, I got the hang of it so fast. It appears that I had a real flair for that sort of thing.
Unfortunately, because of my new job I had to relocate, so I gave up on my swanky flat and rented an old one near my workplace. Also, I bought a new car in order to commute easily in my new city.
It would be wonderful to hear your news as well, so whenever you have a moment, drop me a line.
Best wishes,
Mohamed
