Dear John,
How’re you? It is awful to have lost you from the field last week. I’m sorry if I haven’t written to you yet, but it’s been a tremendously busy week. How are you at the hospital? Is your leg hurting so bad?
However, I’m writing to you because on Saturday we had a astonishing match against the Red Boots F.C., you’d have a lot of fun with us! The Red Boots, you know, are the first in our league, and they play a really tough football. They break every defence, but we played an unexpected strong match, and I scored three times.
At the end of the match I was so excited: three gol, would you’ve believed me? But at the same time, when I looked to my right and I didn’t see your face I felt empty like a bin of trash. I’m not sure I can wait as long as you’ll come back from the hospital, so I’m planning to come you there to visit you in the next days.
I wish you heal as soon as possible,
All best,
Matthew
