Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by the railway staff during my recent journey.
I purchased four tickets for my family from Dhaka to Rajshahi a week before the journey. I provided all the necessary documents at the time of purchase. However, I made a spelling mistake in my mother’s surname on the ticket.
On the day of travel, the security guard refused to allow us to travel using the tickets and instructed me to go to the railway office. This situation was extremely frustrating, as there should be alternative ways to verify a passenger’s identity in such minor cases.
Moreover, the staff member was very rude and unhelpful. He did not pay proper attention to our situation, and as a result, my entire family was unable to travel because of this issue.
I would suggest that the authority introduce alternative verification methods or establish a separate help desk to assist passengers facing such problems. Additionally, I would appreciate it if I could receive a full refund for the four tickets.
I look forward to your prompt response.
Yours sincerely,
Salma Hosen
