My name is Harshkumar Patel, and I am a student at the University of Toronto, completing my master’s in Industrial Engineering. I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue I faced with your taxi service, which caused me to miss my final presentation.
Two weeks ago, I booked a taxi in advance to travel from my home to the university. As my car was in the garage for alignment repairs, I relied on public transport. On the day of my presentation, I scheduled a taxi for 9:00 AM to ensure I arrived on time. Unfortunately, the taxi arrived at 9:49 AM, nearly 50 minutes late, causing me to reach the class at 10:25 AM instead of 10:00 AM. As a result, my professor deducted 25% from my final project grade due to the late presentation.
I filed an online complaint that day but have not received a response. I am requesting a refund of my fare and assurance that this situation will not occur again in the future.
