While in euroupe, literacy rate experiences a slight decrease of 2%, for both male and female. Literacy rate for women started to decline from Latin America and continues till the end of the chart.
Male domination in this sector started to grow, in Arab states, male hold the highest proportion of literacy rate, accounting for around 80%, while female were left behind with a slight low percentage, at around 76%. The difference between male and female literacy saw an increase in South and West Asia as well, where male and female both accounting at 78% and 64%, respectively.
