According to the chart, majority of the populace that decide to go into adult education are often either motivated due to an interest in a particular subject, or they are working towards acquiring a qualification. According to the chart, the former is often the case with a percentage of 40%, followed by the latter at 38%.
The percentages at the mid-range between 20 to 22% depict that adults also sometimes study to develop skills that would be helpful at their current jobs, likewise, they study to improve the possibility of promotion. Furthermore, adults also study simply because they enjoy it. Only a few study to change jobs or study to meet people as the charts ranks both at 12% and 9% respectively
The perceived views of individuals involved in adult education goes thus. They claim a higher percentage of 40% should be paid by the individual, while 35% should be paid by employers and the last bit of the bill being the remaining 25% should be covered by the tax payers.
