The pie charts illustrate the age distribution of visitor from the UK to Spain between 1983 and 2003. Overall, while the mature citizens constituted predominantly in these two countries, there was a noticeable upward trend in the proportion of younger cohorts.
In 1983, 66% of the visitors from the UK and Spain are the seniors with individuals aged more than 55 dominated with 50%. Travelers aged between 25 and 34 took up one fifth of the surveyed data. Lastly, having the least population, the figures for those under 24 and 15 years old are 10% and 4%, respectively.
In the next 20 years, while the proportion of children under 15 exprerienced a dramatical increase to 15%, those in college age and 25 to 34 years old both made up to a considerable amount of 12%. Yet, the elderly still stand out with 35% of them are more than 55 years old and 26% of them are between 35 and 54 years old.
