The given diagram illustrates the ratio of the total population across the globe in India, China, the USA, and Japan. The data is provided for the years 1950, 2002, and the forecasted 2050. Overall, India shows an increasing trend, while the other three countries, on the contrary, have generally decreased. Despite that, India and China are the leaders in this research, while the USA and Japan have the lowest percentages.
To begin with, with an index of approximately 22.5% in 1950, China had the largest population. After a slight drop, India might replace China as the leader in 2050. According to the chart, China’s population will be considerably lower than India’s in 2050, with about 15% and 18% respectively. Interestingly, India’s population at the start of the chart was the same as the projected rate for China in 2050.
In 1950, the USA had a population index of about 7% of the world total, which was twice as much as Japan had. According to the forecast, the USA’s numbers might not change from 2002 to 2050, remaining at just 5% of the total world population. Ultimately, Japan has shown a decreasing behaviour over the entire period.
