The pie chart illustrates the proportion of age group of Little Chalfont library’s members in 2016. In addition, the table depicts the percentage of loans that were borrowed in seven categories in the same year; the bar graph demonstrates the total number of loans starting from 2007 until 2016.
Overall, more than half of the library members were adults in the age of 18 to 64 years old. Additionally, children fiction books and adult fiction loans that were borrowed by library members took up the same proportions in 2016. Noticeably, the total loans in children’s DVDs had the smallest number of loans borrowed by the members. Moreover, there was an upward trend in the number of loans lent by the library over the course of 9 years.
In 2016, just over 50% of people who came to library were adults at 18 to 64 years old, followed by children at approximately 20%. However, no less than 65 years adults, which was around 15% of them, came to the library the least in 2016. Children’s fiction books and adult’s fiction was lent at the same rate, at about 40%. In contrast, DVDs for kids were borrowed the least, at only 1%. In 2007, the number of loans that were lent by the Little Chalfont library stood at just over 15000. The total number of loans had experienced an upward trend until the end of the period, reaching the peak at approximately 20000, despite a slight dip in 2013, at just under 20000.
