A glance at the provided map reveals the changes in PalmGrove, a resort town, from 1950 to 2000.
PalmGrove is located near a bay, which has a long and deep shape. In 1950, there was a large dock at the center of the bay, flanked by beaches on both sides. Two hotels were built near the dock, with one hotel positioned next to three smaller docks at the upper entry of the bay. A two-lane road ran along the upper side of the town.
By the mid-1970s, changes had occurred in PalmGrove. The beaches next to the larger dock extended right beside the dock, and an additional hotel was built near the older establishments. Furthermore, three more hotels were constructed next to the original hotel along the upper side of the bay, adjacent to the three smaller docks. The two-lane road was expanded to four lanes, creating new paths leading to both hotel sites from the road.
By 2000, the map of PalmGrove showed no more docks or small paths. The two beaches were joined together to form one continuous stretch. More hotels were constructed along the beach on both sides of the bay, and an airport was built near the beach on the opposite side of the four-lane road.
