Overall, the housework activities like cooking, washing, ironing and shopping are contributed by woman. While, repair works are mostly done by men. In contrast, male population engaging in leisure activities seems to be higher than the female crowd.
Household activites other than repair , all other works are mainly done by women , cooking and washing approximately 75 minutes ; shopping about 35 minutes; and laundry around 30 minutes in average per day.
Fun-activities like entertainment, books and exercise and sports has more participation from the men with a total of 170 minutes per day is spent on this while reading books alone women spend around 1 minute more extra than men about 19 minutes.
In Summary, as per the representation in 2008, men are more driven to do fun activities and women are engaging in household chores
