The two pie charts give information regarding various courses in an adult education center taken by students in 1985 compared to the current year.
Overall, it can be seen that fitness and dance have remained popular among students since 1985, although modern languages and art have seen a decline. Besides, nowadays, IT courses which have been added gained the highest popularity among students.
To begin with, in 1985, modern languages, which accounted for 24% of student enrollment, followed closely by fitness and dance at 22%. In contrast, music appreciation and cookery had the smallest shares; cookery comprised 14%, and music appreciation represented only 8%. Moreover, art and local history attracted 17% and 15% of students, respectively.
Looking at the current year’s data, interestingly, fitness and dance remained constant at 22%, showing a sustained interest in these programs. However, modern languages have dropped to 17%; meanwhile, art has seen a slight decrease to 15%. Furthermore, cookery experienced an increase, reaching 19% in comparison to its previous figure, which was under 15%. In addition, IT as a recently added course, secured the highest proportion of participants at 27%.
