The line graph illustrates the number of UK residents complaining about their problems between 1980 and 1996. At first glance, we can tell that, the main complain was about domestic or household at first, however road problems grew very much by the end of 1996.
Firstly, the number of household complaints were very high in 1980 which was more than 600 residents back then. However, these numbers gradually decreased and by the end of 1996, the complaints were less than 100. Next, we talk about road work complaint which was comparitively less than household complaints, but surprisingly, the number of complaints rose gradually and jumped to more than 1200 by 1996. However, the traffic noise and factory related complaints were low back in 1980. Although traffic noise complaints were low the whole time, it jumped by the time of 1996 whereas, factory related complaints were almost constant after 1982 upto 1996.
Therefore, we can say that, though in 1980 most complaints were about households, by the time of 1996, the road work problems rose rapidly.
