The graphs compare the electricity usage of a typical hospital, the number of emergency medical calls received, and the average assessment time for emergency cases in five different countries.

Concerning the electricity consumption, in the French and Japanese hospitals it remains relatively stable during the week, fluctuating around 32 and 18 mw. As for Canada and Russia, there is a noticeable increasing of electricity usage by the end of the week, going from 26 to 38 mw and from 12 to 24 mw. In Argentina, however, the use actually declines by almost half.

Speaking of emergency medical calls, there is a similar pattern in France and Japan, the number of calls made by local residents in these two countries fluctuate during the week along with the amount of used electricity. Canada and Russia experienced the great rise of emergency calls, going from 100 to 160 and from 60 to 115. On the contrast, the number of emergency calls made by Argentina’s residents divided in half, almost reaching the point of zero.

Regarding the time spent on assessment of emergency cases, all countries show a strictly stable measure, except Russia. The time spent on assessing emergency cases by Russia’s hospital medical staff rises from 12 minutes on Monday to maximum score of 28 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.

In summary, it seems that electricity use may contribute to the increasing in emergency calls made, but only in Russia does assessment time increase by the same pattern.
