The bar chart displays the number of males and females joining different evening courses and the pie chart compares their age groups’ distributions.

Overall, the majority of participants were women in all four categories and people under 40 years old contained the minority of the attenders. The most popular evening course was reading for both genders.

The number of men joining different activities was no more than 20, and the smallest number was less than 10 for painting. In contrast, the smallest figure for women was under 20, and the difference gaps between genders were bigger in other courses(painting, languages, reading). The figure for reading was by far the highest number, representing approximately 37 for females and around 18 for males.
