The graph illustrates the amount of passengers of a different types of vehicles.
According to the graph, the proportion of car and train daily travellers is growing. In 1980 car passengers were about 6 millions, and people who used trains were 5 millions. In 1990 there was a slight decrease making car users slightly under 6 millions and train travelers around than 4,5 million. However, in the 2000s both their numbers increased, making car commuters 7 million and train passengers a little over 5 million. In 2010 the proportion of car and train commuters dropped to 6 and 5 million users once again. Nonetheless, in 2020 their number grew once more, hitting 8 million car commuters and a little less than 6 million train users. It is expected their numbers to expand even more in the 30s and 40s.
In contrast, bus commuters are becoming a minority. The graph shows a steady decline. In 1980 their number was 4 million. In 1990 train passengers were a little less than 4 million and a decade later they have gone to slightly higher than 3 million. 3 decades later, 1 million people gave up on bus transportation making them 3 million in 2010. In 2020 their number decreased to about 2,5 million and is expected to continue reducing, for instance in 2030 they are expected to become a little over than 2 million and 10 years later to decline to 2 million.
Overall, the graph shows a trend among the usage of trains and cars, and a decline in the transportation by bus.
